FEDVIP is available to eligible federal and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) employees, annuitants, survivor annuitants, and compensationers. If they're an eligible employee or annuitant, they may enroll in FEDVIP and add eligible family members to their coverage.
Processing a FEDVIP Enrollment for a Newly Hired/Newly Eligible Employee
All newly hired and newly eligible employees have 60 days from their hire or eligibility date to enroll in a FEDVIP dental and/or vision plan.
Transitioning to Retirement
If employees are enrolled in FEDVIP before they retire, you should not have to do anything to continue FEDVIP enrollment into retirement.
